According to Car News China , Great Wall Motors' Ora brand has just launched the new Ora 7, which boasts an appearance that seems to be a combination of Volkswagen and Porsche.
Even in its wagon version, the Ora 7's front end already resembled the Volkswagen Beetle, featuring a sloping hood and round headlights, combined with a slim air intake and geometric patterns on the front bumper.
Viewed from the side, the window line and design are reminiscent of the Porsche Cayenne. The body features rounded curves, a gently sloping windshield, and charging ports located near the front wheel arches. Ora's electric vehicle will also be offered with 18-inch and 19-inch wheel options.
The rear of the car is simpler, but still features teardrop-shaped taillights and a tailgate with wipers. The Ora 7 also comes equipped with a spoiler, while the rear bumper is otherwise uncomplicated.
The sedan version is essentially the same as the wagon variant, but boasts a sportier roofline and an upper body reminiscent of older generations of the Panamera. Instead of a hatchback-style tailgate, the Ora 7 sedan features a small cargo area and completely eliminates the rear wiper.
Information provided by MIIT indicates that the two variants of the Ora 7 have the same wheelbase of 2,870 mm, but the wagon version has an overall length of 4,820 mm, while the sedan version has a similar overall length of 4,890 mm. The sedan variant also has a 17 mm lower roofline.
Details regarding the powertrain and battery capacity have not yet been released. It is likely that the Ora 7 will be equipped with an electric motor offering power output options of 201 horsepower or 215 horsepower. Great Wall Motors' electric vehicle could reach a top speed of 180 km/h.
